Your Symptoms Tell a Story. Let’s Take a Closer Look.

When you don’t feel your best, it can be hard to know what is really causing your symptoms. You may notice changes in your breathing, digestion, energy, skin, or overall sense of well-being—and wonder if something you eat or something around you could be playing a role.

At Neurowell, we believe your symptoms are important clues. Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) gives us another way to explore how your body is responding to different foods, respiratory allergens, digestive triggers, and environmental factors.

By looking at your individual responses, we can better understand your unique health picture and create a personalized plan designed to help you feel better, function better, and live better.

A Different Approach to Allergy Relief

Do allergies keep you from feeling your best?

Sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, headaches, digestive issues, or feeling tired can make everyday life harder. Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) offers a different approach that focuses on helping your body better respond to the things that may be bothering you.

What Is AAT?

AAT is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that uses muscle testing and specific frequencies to help identify and address sensitivities.

Unlike traditional allergy shots, AAT does not use injections or expose you to the allergen.

What Is a Visit Like?

Your AAT visit is simple and personalized.

We begin by talking with you about your symptoms and health concerns. We then assess four primary groups of allergens and sensitivities, including food, respiratory, digestive, and other environmental triggers.

These findings help us understand your body's unique responses and determine the proper course of treatment.

What Happens After Treatment?

After your treatment, your body needs time to recalibrate and reform the connection within the nervous system. We ask that you allow at least 24 hours for this process.

Based on your individual findings, we will build a personalized AAT protocol designed specifically for your case.

At Neurowell, our goal is to help you understand your body and support your nervous system so you can feel better, function better, and live better.

Understanding Advanced Allergy Therapeutics

When Your Body Reacts to the World Around You

Allergies and sensitivities can affect much more than your sinuses.

Some people experience congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes, or skin symptoms. Others may notice headaches, digestive discomfort, fatigue, or changes in how they feel after eating certain foods or being around certain environmental triggers.

When these symptoms continue, it can be frustrating to know what is actually causing them.

At Neurowell Functional Medicine, we take a broader look at the way your body responds to different stressors. One therapy we use as part of this process is Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT).

What Is AAT?

Advanced Allergy Therapeutics is a non-invasive therapy designed to assess the body's response to substances that may be contributing to symptoms or stress.

AAT uses a specialized form of muscle-response testing along with specific digital signals. The AAT system describes this as a way of assessing the body's defensive response to different substances.

AAT is different from traditional allergy testing.

It does not diagnose a medical allergy, and it does not replace standard medical allergy testing when that testing is needed.

Instead, at Neurowell, we use AAT as one part of a larger, individualized approach to understanding your symptoms and how your nervous system and body may be responding.

What Happens During an AAT Visit?

Your experience begins with a conversation.

We want to understand what you are experiencing, when your symptoms occur, and what you believe may be contributing to them.

We then assess four primary groups of substances:

  • Food

  • Respiratory

  • Digestive

  • Environmental and other triggers

The assessment helps us identify patterns that we can use to create an individualized treatment plan.

From there, we determine the appropriate course of AAT treatment for your individual case.

The treatment itself is gentle and non-invasive. There are no injections, medications, or supplements involved in the AAT treatment process. The AAT system describes its assessment as painless and performed in person.

Why Does the Nervous System Matter?

Your nervous system is constantly receiving information from the world around you.

It helps your brain and body respond to changes in your environment, stress, temperature, movement, food, and other signals.

The nervous system also communicates closely with the immune system. Modern research continues to show that communication between the nervous, immune, and endocrine systems is an important part of how the body responds to stress and maintains balance.

This is one reason Neurowell looks at the body as a connected system rather than treating every symptom as an isolated problem.

Our approach is centered around Optimal Neurological Expression—supporting the nervous system so the body can better communicate, regulate, and function.

What Does the Research Say?

This is an important question.

There is strong scientific evidence that true allergic disease involves complex interactions between the immune system, environmental exposures, genetics, and other biological factors. Standard allergy evaluation may include a detailed clinical history, skin-prick testing, blood testing for specific IgE, and, when appropriate, medically supervised oral food challenges.

Research also shows that conventional allergy tests have limitations. For example, a positive skin or blood test does not always mean that a person will experience symptoms when exposed to that substance. Clinical history remains an important part of interpreting allergy testing.

What About Muscle-Response Testing?

This is where it is important to be transparent.

Published reviews of applied kinesiology and muscle-response testing have found that the evidence for using these methods as diagnostic tests for allergies is limited. A 2008 review of 22 studies concluded that there was insufficient evidence to establish diagnostic accuracy or treatment effectiveness for applied kinesiology.

The World Allergy Organization has similarly stated that muscle-response testing has not been validated as a diagnostic method for food allergy.

AAT is a specific proprietary system, and its developers describe it as different from general applied kinesiology. AAT reports decades of clinical use and more than one million treatments, but independent peer-reviewed research specifically evaluating the AAT system remains limited.

We believe patients deserve to know this distinction.

So Why Do We Use AAT?

At Neurowell, AAT is not used as a replacement for emergency allergy care, conventional allergy diagnosis, or appropriate medical testing.

Instead, we use it as part of a broader functional approach.

Your symptoms, health history, nervous system function, nutrition, stressors, and other factors all provide information. AAT gives us another way to explore how your body may be responding to different substances.

The goal is not simply to create a long list of things you cannot eat or be around.

The goal is to understand your individual case and create a thoughtful plan that supports better function.

What Happens After Treatment?

Your body needs time after an AAT session to process the treatment.

At Neurowell, we ask patients to allow at least 24 hours after treatment for the body to recalibrate and for the nervous-system connection we are working with to reform.

We then use your individual findings to build a personalized protocol for your case.

Your plan may include AAT along with other therapies or recommendations based on what we learn about your unique needs.

AAT Is Not for Every Situation

AAT should not be used as a substitute for emergency treatment.

If you have a known or suspected severe food allergy or have experienced anaphylaxis, strict avoidance and appropriate emergency medical care remain essential. AAT itself does not treat anaphylaxis or life-threatening allergic reactions. The AAT organization specifically states this limitation.

If you have symptoms that could represent a serious allergic reaction, seek appropriate medical care.

Your Body Is More Than a Symptom

At Neurowell, we believe your symptoms are part of a larger story.

Instead of asking only, “How do we stop this symptom?”, we ask:

“What is your body telling us?”

We look at the individual, the nervous system, the body's responses, and the factors that may be affecting how you feel and function.

AAT is one tool within that process.

Our goal is to help you better understand your body, support healthy nervous-system function, and develop a personalized path toward feeling better, functioning better, and living better.

Want to Learn More?

If you are struggling with symptoms that you believe may be related to foods, environmental exposures, or other sensitivities, schedule an evaluation with Neurowell.

Together, we can take a deeper look at your individual health picture and determine whether AAT may be an appropriate part of your care.
