Frequently Asked Questions

What do I wear? We recommend floating without clothing for the most comfortable experience and to help maintain the quality of our float tanks. Swimwear can sometimes feel distracting or restrictive while floating, so going without is preferred. However, if you choose to wear a swimsuit, just let us know and we’ll make any necessary adjustments to ensure your comfort.

Do I need to bring anything? No, everything you need for a great float experience is provided. Our rooms are fully equipped with towels, hair care products, deodorant, Q-tips, two types of earplugs, petroleum jelly, and more. You’re also welcome to bring your own personal items if you prefer to use them after your session.

Should I wear earplugs? Yes, our float rooms include two types of earplugs for your use. Earplugs help prevent salt water from entering the ear canal, which can cause temporary irritation or a “popping” sensation after your float. We recommend using your preferred earplugs during your session and rinsing your ears afterward with our provided vinegar solution.

What should I expect during and after my first float session? First-time floating can feel new, but we make it simple and comfortable from start to finish. Our staff will guide you through the entire process upon arrival and answer any questions to help customize your experience. We’ll do everything we can to ensure a great first float—and every visit after. Most guests find that it takes about three sessions to fully adjust, so don’t worry if it feels unfamiliar at first. Just relax, breathe, and think of it as a restorative power nap.

Can I sleep in the tank? Yes! While some guests find it takes a few sessions to fully relax or fall asleep in the tank, many experienced floaters love using it as a restorative nap space. Float therapy is especially supportive for those looking to improve sleep quality, reduce stress, and promote overall relaxation. It’s commonly used as part of a wellness routine for fatigue, tension, and mental overstimulation.

Is Float for me? In most cases, yes. However, floating is not recommended for guests with large open wounds, contagious conditions (such as gastroenteritis or diarrhea), uncontrolled epilepsy, severe claustrophobia, very low blood pressure, or certain kidney conditions. Before your first session, you’ll complete a brief waiver so our team can ensure floating is appropriate for you.
